Product Overview

EPA Acceptable Substitutes in Household Refrigerators and Freezers

A technological breakthrough in refrigeration, HCR188C derivatives are highly efficient hydrocarbon refrigerants with astonishing characteristics.

  • HCR188C was developed in the USA as an 'environmentally friendly' commercial refrigerant employing only American research, production, and testing companies. A derivative, R441A/HCR188C1 with its Very Low Global Warming Potential (GWP) , and Zero Ozone Depletion factor, can help slow global warming and further ozone depletion.

  • R441A/HCR188C1 is the first hydrocarbon refrigerant to be approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for sale in the United States for use as a replacement for R134A in household refrigerators, stand alone freezers, household window air conditioners and is currently undergoing EPA approval procedures for use in automotive air conditioning systems.

  • R441A/HCR188C1 is extremely energy efficient and will significantly reduce electrical power consumption in refrigerators, air conditioners, and other appliances.

  • R441A/HCR188C1 can be retrofitted for use in most, if not all, existing refrigeration systems; including Air Conditioners, Refrigerators, Chillers, etc., and can be used immediately as a drop-in replacement retrofit and can play a key role in newly designed systems for even greater, optimized efficiency.

  • HCR188C2, R443A has been developed as a replacement for R22.

The current generation of energy consuming, inefficient, and environmentally damaging refrigerants has become obsolete with the advent of HCR188C derivatives technology.
